I’ve only had brief experience with Knippenberg but my previous tax accountant retired so I visited Knippenberg in Jan to meet him and showed him my previous return. He said fine, bring in in March after get all 2017 forms. We commented on fact that my in laws were Knippenbergs but probably distant relatives. I called in early March to set up appt. After leaving several voicemails over a week which he never responded to, I decided to drop by office at which time he claimed not remembering me from Jan, just too busy to answer voicemails and/or didn’t recognize the name. And too busy to take any new clients. At that point I said I guess I needed to find someone else. He may be competant doing taxes but not in communications/courtesy or remembering clients. I wouldn’t use him.
