Hendricks Regional Health Brownsburg Hospital

I don't know where to really begin with this hospital. I thought building a new hospital in the area would help provide patients with closer options on the west side. However, how I was treated by the doctor makes me be the first to write such a negative review. I rarely write negative reviews ever. I explained my story and was completely honest with the doctor. I complained of abdominal pain so they took blood work and a urine to check for pregnancy. At no time was I told I would be drug tested and I don't even know why I was drug tested. I told the doctor I use to have a pain specialist but no longer. However, that should no matter if I'm coming to you with uncontrolled pain. When I asked for treatment for my pain, I was given Ibuprofen. I take Ibuprofen 800s at home (so technically they would have went over the DAILY amount allotted for me!) If I wanted to just have Ibuprofen, I would have saved myself a few THOUSAND dollars and the humiliation that doctor made me feel. No further testing or imaging was done to see if something was causing me pain, such as an ulcer or cysts (which he also saw in my MEDICAL records). They sent me on my merry way with a pain number of a 8. If you have a pain issue, I suggest not going here. Seek care elsewhere because they may think you're seeking too. I think they truly thought I was drug seeking because why would you drug test me..? I have never been drug tested at ANY hospital ever. EVER!!! I am still in pain, days later. But in all honesty, my dignity is what hurts the most. No one should have to feel shamed like I was, regardless if the doctor said it or not. Every patient should be treated with common decency.. period.
