I'm a diabetic who lives in Brownsburg, IN where there are no ophthalmologists. It's important for me to see an opthamologist for my eye exams, because Diabetes can cause very serious problems involving the eyes among other health problems. Optitions & Optometrists do not have the necessary skills & knowledge to properly discover & treat diabetic eye problems. Opthamologists are M.D.'S, actual eye doctors who can. My diabetic mother was a patient of Dr. John Abrams, M.D. and never had any complaints with him or his staff. So he's who I saw for my eye exam. He was very thorough and his staff were very helpful and congenial when I picked out my glass frames and picked up my finished glasses. I can't imagine going anywhere else for glasses in the future.
